Having an octagonal form with a simple molded edge and brass banded apron beneath the top. Lid is double hinged inside which shows the original zinc lining with divisions removed. The main body of the cooler has two similar brass bandings and two cast brass oval ring lifting handles. Supported on a fitted base with four square tapered legs with casters. Condition good; area above lock hasp has been reinforced, scattered staining on top; zinc is worn with some loss, interior wood lightly refinished. c. 1780. Cooler 13.75"H x 19"W; on stand 26.5"H
